DIANE VON FURSTENBURG MODERN BLUE SILK DRAPED DRESS
DIANE VON FURSTENBURG MODERN BLUE SILK DRAPED DRESS
This is a simple and beautiful cobalt blue silk tunic dress with waist sash. The fabric is so soft and luxurious. I love this piece because it can be styled in so many ways. Wear it belted, or with the belt as scarf. Wear the tunic as a top with a pair of silk pants or very loosely tuck it into a pair of trousers with a shirt underneath! I could go on forever.
Measurements
Bust 46"
Waist 40"
Hips 38"
Length 35.5"
Great vintage condition. I have washed it it with a gentle cleaning solution so it is ready to wear. There are very faint marks that you almost always get when washing silk. Hardly noticeable.
It is a tag size 12. I think it fits more like a Medium / US 6.
About the Designer: Diane Von Furstenburg
Diane Von Furstenburg married Prince Egon Von Furstenburg in 1969 and became a princess. That same year DVF embarked on her fashion career and she and her husband moved from Europe to the United States. Her title provided much “cachet” for her clothing label as many Americans were fascinated with European royalty. Elegance, ease, and sex appeal reign in her designs. Simple silk jersey wrap dresses with vibrant patterns became her namesake and catapulted her business as they were beautiful but were accessible to people of various sizes at a contemporary fashion price point.
